Your Board of Directors for 2018.
Beth has owned Celebrate! Cakes for ten years and been a vendor at KFM for six. Delicious artisan cupcakes and reversible pet bandanas are her specialties. Beth has previously served on the Board as Secretary, but this is her first time as Chair, and she is very excited about this year’s Board and its many ideas for the coming Market season. She supports many charities with her baking, animal charities being particularly close to her heart.
Shaunna has been part of her family business at Rochon Gardens since she was very young. She now manages booths at 3 farmer’s markets and manages the CSA vegetable box program on behalf of Rochon Gardens. Shaunna is looking forward to this coming year and being able to contribute to Kemptville farmer’s market in 2019.
Catherine has run her own entrepreneurial businesses for over 50 years. Her specialties are Belgian chocolate, and wide variety of related products. She also has an extensive line of fibre arts available. Catherine participates in several farmers’ markets in the area. She has served on volunteer committees since the 1970’s. Her wide range of knowledge and skills is a definite benefit to any organization.
DagmarMcCord (Market Manager)
Dagmar has over 30 years of professional horticulture experience with a Diploma in Agriculture/Horticulture from U of G. She was a research technician in the University’s Crop Science Dept and for OMAF in Integrated Pest Management research programs. In Kingston she worked at two family owned/operated nurseries growing annuals and perennials and included work at Kingston Farmers’ Market. In Ottawa she worked as the Heritage Gardener at the Official Residences for the NCC and rounds off her work experience in Victoria as the Assistant Supervisor of Horticulture and Nursery Operations.

A “repeat” Board member, Nancy participates at the Market with the BeaconHolme Farm booth. This will be her eighth season with the Market where she sells organic vegetables, preserves and pickles made primarily from those organic vegetables, pies and other baked treats.
Bruce is a chef, author and musician and is one of the founders and a past chair of the Kemptville Farmers’ Market. This will be his 12th year of involvement in the market and he is happy to be back on the board in an official capacity this season.
